My name is Sasha and I am painting on leather bags all days since almost 5 years.
I am a self-taught italian artist, born and grown up in Novosibirsk, Russia.
I am a romantic person, having grown up reading the books of the old classics, and I often draw inspiration from the characters in my favorite books.
When I was a child, my parents did not even consider sending me to an art school. At that time, “being an artist” was synonymous with “being poor.” As a result, I continued to pursue painting as a hobby instead of seeing it as a potential career. Eventually, I graduated in a completely different field
When Passion Persists, It Finds a Way
For a long time, I tried to balance my job in 3D design with my love for painting.
Honestly, I started making money from my art about 15 years ago by airbrushing on different surfaces, but I was too scared to fully dive into it.
The lockdown altered everything. I realized my office job was stifling my creativity.
And Now, I Have a Purpose
My purpose is to inspire a world where art is not confined to galleries but seamlessly integrated into daily life. I believe in celebrating creativity, sustainability, and the beauty of craftsmanship, one handbag at a time.
To transform everyday accessories into extraordinary pieces of art, blending timeless craftsmanship with unique, hand-painted designs. I aim to bring a touch of individuality and creativity into my customers’ lives, making each handbag a statement of personal style. Painting on leather bags is my way to feel happy.
…And Here We Are!
The most important—and perhaps the hardest—lesson I’ve learned on this journey is to never give up. Through ups and downs, I’ve found great satisfaction as an artist.
I’ve had the privilege of participating in several art exhibitions, including one held on the iconic Via Margutta in Rome, a street renowned for its rich artistic history. One of my paintings was even featured in the catalog for the Venice Biennale 2024. I’ve sold my work to collectors in the United States and Germany, proving to myself—and to many skeptics—that art comes from within.
Today, it’s clear: you don’t need a formal degree from an art academy to be a true painter. Passion, persistence, and authenticity are what make an artist.
